Located within 47 km of Vierzon train station, Break Hôtel in Vierzon features a number of amenities including a shared lounge and a terrace. We had a late check-in and the staff was very friendly and explained where to pick up the keys (ibis reception next door). The guy there was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was new. Great place at a cheap price if you want to crash for the night and split your journey

This hotel is situated in Bourges and is just a 3-minute walk to the 15th-century Palais Jacques Coeur in the heart of the Old Town. Super convenient location, we stayed 6 nights, 4 of which were for a music festival, no problem getting back in very late and night and a very safe area to walk at night. Large supermarket & pharmacy is a 3 min walk away. The small refrigerator was a bonus. We were on the 4th floor with a nice view. Never any long waits for the elevator.

This Best Western is located in the medieval city of Bourges, 500 metres from Bourges Cathedral. It offers air-conditioned guest rooms, each with a TV, minibar and free Wi-Fi access. Loverly Hotel in a good location. Excellent parking on site and secure. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Good for resturants and bars locally. Room was good and bathroom was very good and clean.

Very professional, friendly and helpful staff, restaurant in a unique setting with exceptional service and exquisite (local) cuisine for diner and breakfast, rooms are on the small size but well designed, clean and fully comfortable.

This 19th-century castle is located next to Val d’Auron Lake and Bourges golf course. It offers charming studios with a kitchenette, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. The Chateau was really nice, good beds No elevator, but room down staurs for my aunt. The staff was really friendly and helpful!

Located in Saint Doulchard, Hôtel The Originals Access, Bourges Nord Saint-Doulchard is a 13-minute drive from Bourges city centre and a 10-minute drive from Bourges train station. Amazing staff, Very clean and comfortable.

Located in the outskirts of Bourges, ibis Styles Bourges offers you a warm and friendly welcome in a modernly decorated building. It features luminous and pleasant rooms decorated with bright colours.... Very easy and good place to stop overnight

Set in Sancerre, the hotel Le Panoramic welcomes you right amid a vineyard and boasts an unrivalled view of the vines. The Panoramic is a fine modern hotel perched impressively on a cliff looking out on the rolling vineyards of Sancerre. It is worth noting that the rooms with a street view are half the price of the rooms overlooking the vines. The "view" is available from the long public balcony on that side of the hotel where wine can be enjoyed and satisfactory photograph made. We liked the street side as we could keep an eye on our car parked below. There is no secure parking but, at least in October, there were plenty of spaces where parking was perpendicular the the high wall of the hospital grounds. It is a ten minute walk to the top of the hill where there seems to be ample public parking. There is much of interest in restaurants, wine bars, and antique selling at the top of the hill. The attached photos show the Google maps view and the parking across the street. After tasting several pedigrees of the real Sancerre in that balcony, we tried a Pouilly-Fumé which is apparently a generally less tart wine, though still made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape. It was, but ultimately we ended up buying a few bottles of Pouilly-sur-Loire (a separate appellation) in the nearby town of Pouilly-Fumé to take home. This white wine is made from the Chasselas grape and is much less acidic. The curious obsession with the Sauvignon Blanc grape is, one might say thankfully, partially displaced by less acid fruit in the more westerly appellations of the Loire Valley
